Subjects

Enrichment and Extracurricular Activities

We provide a variety of enrichment and extracurricular activities outside standard academic classes. These activities are designed to provide youth with the opportunity for experiential learning, character building, and overall academic improvement.

Academic Intervention Services

Our academic intervention services help meet the unique learning needs of these students and maximize their potential. For children who need intervention to support classroom curriculum, whether it’s those who have plateaued, require remediation, or have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), our academic intervention team provides a wide-variety of services to meet their needs. We have found that students with diverse needs require our help to bridge the gap between what they can do without help and what they cannot do without help. Our content area specialists focus on performance tasks within students’ learning needs to the bridge gaps in their foundational skills. Classroom teachers build upon the work of our specialists by exposing students to grade level material and explicit instruction in critical thinking.

Our Values

Inwood Academy believes fostering five main character traits contributes to well-rounded individuals who care, give back, and lead.
