National Junior Honor Society

Overview

The NJHS is the leading organization that recognizes exceptional middle school students. Membership is open to students who meet the required pillars in the following areas: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.

Membership to NJHS is open to students who meet the required pillars in the following areas: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.

Seventh and eighth grade students are evaluated by a council comprised of members of the Inwood Academy faculty and are nominated for membership based on those who have demonstrated the strongest in the areas of leadership, service, citizenship, and character as well as having a cumulative 3.0 GPA average. Inwood Academy’s annual Induction Ceremony is held near the end of each school year to recognize the newly selected members of the NJHS.
