Community resources and local partnerships supports high-quality academic and enrichment opportunities by broadening the experiences that may be typically offered to students and by expanding access to local expertise.

Effective Monday, March 7th masks coverings will be optional on school grounds for staff and students.  Please note that as IAL adopts Mayor Eric Adams’ updated policies, the health and safety of the school community is our top priority.  Therefore, we will continue to pre-screen, daily temperature check, Test to Stay program and continue to provide weekly staff and student COVID-19 testing. We will also continue to track the data for our school community and if we experience a spike in our school community we will implement policies to help ensure the health and safety of our school.

Inwood Academy Support

First and foremost our school is here to support the families of Inwood Academy.

If you have questions or need support, these are Inwood Academy’s Main Office numbers during this time: Middle School 646-665-5570; High School is 212-304-0103. COVID-19 Vaccine

COVID-19 Vaccines are now available for FREE to anyone 5 and older.

  • Children 5 – 17 years old can get the Pfizer vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine requires two doses, three weeks apart.
  • Children who are 5 – 15 years old must go to the vaccination site with a parent, guardian, or another adult caregiver chosen by the parent or guardian
  • Vaccine booster shots are now available for New Yorkers ages 16 and older. These shots boost your immunity from an initial vaccination series.  No one will be denied a booster shot in New York, as long as they are 16 or older and received their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least six months ago, or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least two months ago.

Home Cooling Assistance 

The Cooling Assistance benefit helps eligible households buy and install an air conditioner or fan up to a cost of $800.  Air conditioners are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check on the link to see find more information regarding deadline.

The  companies are providing in-depth information on how to support familie during the COVID-19 pandemic. Be sure to check their terms and conditions and cancel their service after the trial period ends.
